Following on from our January calving, we are now in full flow of our 75 cow, Spring Calving period, alongside our small flock of crossbred ewes, which are just finishing their lambing. Lambs are sired by our Blue Texel Ram. It has been a long winter for the cattle here at Stanford Park, ideally, our April calvers would now be out at grass. Due to the very wet weather the cows and calves are still inside. Fingers crossed we can get them outside soon to ensure the spring grass. Grass fields have been rolled today, and fence repairs carried out, so that paddocks are secure.
