Our latest batch of beef arrived on the farm last week, and this time – in preparation for lots of alfresco dining – we ordered extra Beef and Beer Sausages and 8oz beef burgers, to go alongside our Sirloin and Rump steaks for the BBQ. It feels like spring has finally sprung, and we can look forward to some lovely summer entertaining outside.
At the start of lockdown, we took the decision to start selling our native, grass fed, home bred beef locally in Stanford and the surrounding villages. It has been extremely well received, with customers returning again and again. Folk from the village appreciate the importance of buying their food locally, knowing where it comes from and how it has been reared. Around every 6-8 weeks, we receive from our butcher one of our Beef Shorthorn heifers bred here on the farm. Pre-orders can be collected fresh on Saturday morning and the remainder is fresh frozen to meet orders throughout the month, which can be collected or delivered locally by arrangement.
